SS  (South Scotland)
NS  (North Scotland)
NI (Northern Ireland)


DAILY

Daily values from 1958 to 2011 are derived from Met Office Hadley Centre 5km gridded data.
Regressions against the HadUKP daily series for 1958-2007 were used to generate the values
for 1931-57.
The daily values (from left to right) give the values for each day of a given month starting
on the 1st.


MONTHLY, SEASONAL, ANNUAL

Monthly values from 1914 to 2011 are derived from Met Office Hadley Centre 5km gridded data.
Monthly values prior to 1914 (where applicable) are derived from regressions against the
HadUKP series.
The values (from left to right) give totals for January to December and then an annual total
which is the sum of the monthly totals.

Seasonal and annual values have been obtained by summing the monthly values.
From left to right there are seasonal values for winter, spring, summer and autumn, and an
annual total.
Winter is defined as Dec/Jan/Feb, spring as Mar/Apr/May, summer as Jun/Jul/Aug and autumn as
Sep/Oct/Nov.


<a href="error_daily.txt">Error_daily</a> contains estimated daily error values for each month
and each region.

<a href="error_monthly_seasonal_annual.txt">Error_monthly_seasonal_annual</a> contains estimated
error values for monthly, seasonal and annual values, for each month and each region.
